Senior Accountant

Job Description

Job Summary: We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage the financial records and accounting operations of our shoe manufacturing business. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling data entry, managing e-way bills, coordinating with Chartered Accountants (CA), processing inward and outward invoices, and assisting in year-end closing activities including preparation of balance sheets. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and manage e-way bills as per GST regulations. Accurate and timely data entry of financial transactions and invoices. Coordinate with the company’s Chartered Accountant for audits, compliance, and financial reporting. Manage inward and outward invoices and maintain proper documentation. Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities. Prepare trial balance, balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and other financial reports. Maintain accounts payable and receivable ledgers. Reconcile bank statements and financial records regularly. Ensure compliance with statutory requirements such as GST, TDS, and other applicable laws. Support payroll processing and employee expense accounting as required. Maintain organized records for audits and tax assessments. Collaborate with production and procurement teams to track costing and inventory expenses. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field. Proven experience as an Accountant, preferably in manufacturing sectors. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and GST regulations. Experience with e-way bill generation and compliance. Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar). Excellent data entry skills with high attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to coordinate effectively with external auditors and CA firms. Good communication and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks efficiently. Preferred: Familiarity with footwear manufacturing processes and costing will be an advantage. Experience in year-end closing and financial reporting.
