Job Title: Appian Architect Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced Appian Architect to lead the design, development, and deployment of business process management (BPM) applications using the Appian platform. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Appian, strong leadership skills, and a background in enterprise architecture and process optimization. You will be responsible for translating business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring performance, scalability, and maintainability of Appian applications. Key Responsibilities: Lead the architecture, design, and development of Appian-based BPM solutions. Define technical standards, patterns, and best practices for Appian application development. Work closely with business analysts, stakeholders, and development teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical designs. Conduct system and application architecture reviews to ensure alignment with enterprise standards. Guide and mentor Appian developers and other technical team members. Develop integrations between Appian and external systems using web services (REST, SOAP), databases, and other APIs. Ensure the security, scalability, and performance of Appian applications. Maintain and support existing Appian applications, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance. Stay updated on Appian platform updates and new features; recommend adoption where applicable. Provide technical leadership throughout the software development lifecycle. Required Qualifications: Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 6+ years of experience in software development with 4+ years focused on Appian. Appian Level 2 or Level 3 Certified (Senior Developer or Lead Designer certification preferred). Strong understanding of BPM concepts and Appian architecture. Hands-on experience with Appian design objects including records, reports, process models, interfaces, and data types. Proficiency with Appian SAIL scripting and expression rules. Experience integrating Appian with other enterprise systems. Familiarity with DevOps tools, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cloud deployment (AWS, Azure) of Appian applications. Knowledge of Appian RPA, AI, or low-code automation features. Background in enterprise architecture (TOGAF or similar framework). Familiarity with SQL, Java, and web technologies.
