Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Azure API Management (APIM) Engineer to design, implement, and optimize API solutions in Azure Cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have expertise in API security, lifecycle management, automation, and performance optimization to support scalable and secure API-driven architectures. Key Responsibilities: Design and implement Azure API Management (APIM) solutions to enable seamless API consumption and governance. Develop Terraform-based infrastructure automation for API deployments and configurations. Manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins for API deployments. Implement API security best practices , including authentication, authorization, and threat protection. Set up Azure Monitoring and Logging for API performance tracking and error diagnostics. Configure rate limiting, throttling, and request management for high-performance APIs. Optimize API performance and ensure multi-tenant API management for scalability. Develop and maintain API lifecycle management processes , including versioning and deprecation. Work with Azure Functions, Service Bus, and Event Grid for event-driven API architectures. Implement RESTful API Design and GraphQL for modern API integrations. Ensure compliance with security standards, incident response, and disaster recovery plans . Develop automation scripts using PowerShell and Bash for API management tasks. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize networking and security configurations in Azure. Required Skills and Qualifications: Strong experience with Azure API Management (APIM) and API Gateway implementations . Hands-on expertise in Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC) deployment. Proficiency in CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins . Deep understanding of API security protocols such as OAuth, JWT, and Mutual TLS. Experience in Azure Monitoring, Logging, and Application Insights . Ability to configure rate limiting, throttling, caching, and request validation in APIM. Knowledge of multi-tenant API architecture and performance optimization strategies . Familiarity with RESTful API Design, GraphQL, and Azure Functions . Hands-on experience with Azure Service Bus and Event Grid for message-based communication. Expertise in PowerShell and Bash scripting , and automation workflows. Strong understanding of networking concepts in Azure , including VNETs, Load Balancers, and Private Endpoints. Experience in security compliance, incident response, and disaster recovery planning . Preferred Qualifications: Azure certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect, Azure DevOps Engineer, or Azure Security Engineer. Experience in service mesh technologies and API observability tools . Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes for API deployments.
