AECOM India is seeking to hire young and dynamic Fresh Mechanical Design Engineers with good communication and technical knowledge for our Gurgaon/Mumbai/Chennai Offices in India. This is a great opportunity to be actively involved in an innovative and highly motivated team of mechanical engineering professionals working in India and across the globe. The team is currently delivering a range of projects including Owners Engineer, Design & Engineering and Project Management services as well as front-end work such as feasibility studies and concept design across various infrastructure sectors like Digital/Data Center, Commercial Buildings, Healthcare, Aviation, Transport, Industrial etc. The vacancy is for a position in the area of Mechanical Engineering with specialization in Thermal Engineering/HVAC & Refrigeration. Selected engineers will be inducted through an exhaustive three months induction program. Brief of induction program, future responsibilities and qualifications are summarized below: Induction Program: HR Training Training on related Software technical including 3D virtual design tools like BIM/Revit etc. Training on related various technical modules including analytical tools. On the job training Site Visits Responsibilities: Selected engineers will be groomed to take up responsibilities as summarized below: Use of relevant design standards TIER Standard Topology as per ASHRAE, NBC, ECBC, NFPA, Uptime Institute, TIA 942, BICSI 002, EN 50600 etc. Selection of required HVAC systems for various applications. Model preparation, clash check and design reviews using BIM and other related 3D software. Preparation of mechanical design calculations like heat load calculations, ventilation calculations, pressure drop calculations, duct sizing, BOQ etc. Preparation and review of related drawings like p&ids, general layout, duct layout, piping layout. Selection of equipment like pumps, fans, chillers, cooling towers, tanks, cooling towers etc. Preparation and review of design basis reports and tender documents. Participation in the progress and coordination meetings of the project. Necessary coordination with vendors and other department for related interfaces as applicable. Complex design computations with cost and quantity estimates. Preparing technical proposals and reports. Minimum Qualification: M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with specialization in Thermal Engineering/HVAC & Refrigeration from a reputed Institute
