Job Description

Job profile Understands companys aerospace and defense capabilities and positions the company appropriately for business with clients Develops a short term and long term actionable business plan with investment and resource requirement Leads the business development efforts (from introduction to first revenue) for company’s aerospace & defence market growth, including market analysis and understanding, OEM and Tier engagement, key supplier interaction, and sales/margin generation above an agreed upon level annually. Assumes the leadership position in negotiation of contracts, including terms & conditions of sale, between company and the customer. Secures credibility for company in the local and global aerospace & defence market by developing strategic relationships with key aerospace OEMs, Tiers, and suppliers. Creates and executes custom strategies to ensure company’s position on Indian and global OEM/Tier 1 vendors approved supplier listings. Works with company Manufacturing, Engineering and Procurement to deliver end product to client Assists Senior Management with the development and implementation of or in the advancement of organization goals, objectives and strategic initiatives created through the business and strategic planning process. Encourages strong cross-functional relationships by identifying teamwork opportunities and leads these activities to successful outcomes. Position Requirements: Excellent written and spoken communication skills Will need to travel within India and overseas A minimum of 10 years of experience in aerospace and defense industry required. A proven track record of business development or related commercial success and technical skills is desired for this position. Key relationships with Indian and global OEMs/Tier 1 vendors at operational and senior levels Diverse knowledge in precision CNC machining, tooling, CAD/CAM and requirements of aerospace and defense industry Experience with Oracle, CAD/CAM a plus. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required.
