Senior Civil Engineer

Job Description

Technical 1. Champion the culture of technical innovation and cost optimisation within the Civil Department. 2. Participate in technical discussions with the clients and Technology partners and review Civil discipline documents provided by Technology partners. 3. Help drive implementation of initiatives from concept through to operation within departments 4. Work with Detailed Engineering contractors to expand the Civil scope to detailed design documents 5. Provide discipline specific inputs into Request for Proposals, and review vendor proposals and assist the Procurement group to place orders . 6. Develop capabilities to carry out Detailed Engineering for Civil Engineering discipline inhouse in the future 7. Provide Civil Engineering inputs as required during the Detailed Engineering, Construction pre-commissioning, commissioning and stable operations phase of the project 8. Guide and train less experienced Civil Engineers to deliver on their responsibilities 9. Participate in Safety reviews for the Projects Overall Management and Client Related Promote new initiatives to clients and third parties as required. Contribute to periodic risk reviews and develop strategies that mitigate exposure to both internal and external risks. Provide positive engagement across all levels of the company to achieve business KPIs. General Compliance and Improvements Comply with all the Health and Safety regulatory site rules and requirements at all times Responsible for own Health and safety and that of others who may be affected by work. Request information necessary to perform the task efficiently as possible and stop work if not in compliance with the standard practices and procedures. Support the business with procedures and required compliance DESIRED CANDIDATE PROFILE Qualification & Experience: Minimum Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or M.Tech in structural engineering with minimum 10 years’ experience in design of Civil Engineering Systems for Waste to Biogas/Chemicals, Ethanol or the Oil & Gas/Refinery/Petrochemical Plants Essential: Very Good Knowledge of Indian Industry codes and standards. Proficiency in use of STAAD,ETABS and other structural engineering softwares. Excellent Communication skills Delivery focused and committed to achievement of project/company goals. Excellent attention to detail, diligence and self-discipline. Ability to take independent decisions at critical situations. Technically strong person Preferable: Experience in leading and developing teams.
