Senior Data Analyst /Lead

Job Title: Senior Data Analyst / Lead Experience: 6 10 years Location: Bangalore Job Overview: We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst / Lead with expertise in SQL, Power BI, Microsoft Fabric , and experience in financial services or insurance environments . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, data modeling, data integration, and business intelligence . You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect, analyze, and interpret data, supporting data-driven decision-making and business change initiatives . Key Responsibilities: Collect, clean, and analyze structured and unstructured datasets to derive meaningful insights. Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI (Report Builder) . Utilize SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis. Work with Microsoft Fabric to design and implement data pipelines and ETL processes . Collaborate with engineering and data teams to build and optimize data platforms, data warehouses, and database implementations . Identify and interpret data trends, patterns, and anomalies to support business strategies. Define and implement data quality controls and management to ensure accuracy and consistency. Document functional data requirements, technical data specifications, data flows, and data designs . Develop and maintain a Data Catalogue for efficient data governance and accessibility. Perform application testing , including test case creation, execution, and defect resolution support . Utilize data visualization techniques to communicate insights effectively. Work with Jira, Confluence, and SharePoint to track and manage business and IT change initiatives. Required Skills & Qualifications: Technical Skills: Strong expertise in SQL for querying and data manipulation. Hands-on experience with Power BI (Report Builder) for data visualization and reporting. Experience working with Microsoft Fabric for data engineering and management. Understanding of ETL pipelines, data integration, and data transformation processes . Proficiency in data modeling, structuring, and data warehouse design . Business & Analytical Skills: Experience in financial services or insurance industry with a focus on data-driven decision-making. Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and business & IT change delivery . Ability to analyze data trends and patterns to drive business insights. Experience in documenting data specifications, data flows, and data catalogs . Knowledge of data governance, data quality management, and compliance . Collaboration & Tools: Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, and SharePoint for managing projects and documentation. Experience working with cross-functional teams including data engineers, business analysts, and IT teams. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Preference will be given to the candidate who can join at the earliest and to be based out of Bangalore.
