About the Role We are looking for an experienced data scientist who uses statistical and programming skills to extract insights from data. As a Senior Data Scientist, you will contribute to our data-driven decision-making process, leveraging your expertise in statistical analysis, machine learning, and data visualization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to extract insights from complex data sets, develop predictive models, and provide actionable recommendations that drive business growth. Responsibilities Clean, transform, and analyze large data sets from various sources to extract meaningful insights and identify trends or patterns. Develop predictive models and algorithms that optimize business processes and improve operational efficiency. Design and implement experiments, A/B tests, and other statistical methodologies to evaluate the effectiveness of different strategies or interventions. Create and maintain data visualizations, dashboards, and reports to effectively communicate findings and insights to non-technical stakeholders. Stay up to date with the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and statistical analysis techniques, and share knowledge with the team. Participate in the development and maintenance of data infrastructure and tools to enhance data collection, storage, and analysis capabilities. Mentor and guide junior data scientists, fostering their professional growth and knowledge development. Follow secure development, testing, and deployment guidelines and practices to adhere to the overall security of the system under consideration. Requirements Minimum 3+ years of relevant industry experience. Extensive experience as a data scientist. Proficiency in Python and its data science/ visualization libraries. In-depth understanding of SQL. Competent in machine learning principles and techniques. Demonstrable history of devising and overseeing data-centered projects. Excellent mathematical skills and background, e.g. accuracy, significance tests, visualization, and advanced probability concepts. Excellent written and spoken communication skills. Willingness to work in a cross-discipline environment. Knowledge of deploying large-scale systems using distributed and cloud-based systems (Hadoop, Spark, Amazon EC2) is a big plus.
