Job Description

Role & responsibilities: Responsible for product design & support to the global clients. Understanding customer requirements, detail design, modelling and drawing release. Responsible for handling Engineering documentation projects. Preparation/presentation of design reports, review part/assembly drawing quality check per standards and project reviews. Ensuring to meet quality and commitment goals. Collaborate with other engineering disciplines, Product Management, manufacturing, purchasing and quality control, regulatory departments as well as suppliers. Follow Engineering Change Management process (ECR/ECO) and execute projects independently. Good communication with stakeholders ESSENTIAL Skills: Good knowledge on engineering concepts. Good knowledge on drawing Standards (ISO, ANSI/ASME) Hands on experience on CAD tool Solid works (Part, Sheet metal, Assembly & drawing modules) and handle large assemblies and configurations. Hands on experience on Sheet metal design DFM & DFA. Good Knowledge on any PDM & PLM tools. Hands on experience on Engineering change management (ECR/ECO) process. Capability to understand/ apply design calculations, Tolerance Stack-up analysis. Able to work on global product development projects independently. Good project planning, communication and interpersonal skills. Self-motivated and highly organized. Problem solving & trouble shooting. Desirable Skills: Knowledge on various sheet metal & plastics manufacturing processes like Plastics injection molding, Sheetmetal stamping, forming etc. Experience in design/development of Plastics, GD&T and simulations. Understanding or experience with DFMEA and PFMEA and Risk Assessment.
