for designing, implementing, and optimizing processes, tools, and metrics to improve the productivity and satisfaction of our development teams You will work closely with engineering, product, and leadership teams to streamline workflows, reduce friction, and provide actionable insights into team performance using GitHub and Jira This role requires a deep understanding of software development practices, data-driven decision-making, and a passion for enhancing the developer experience, Key Responsibilities Optimize Developer Workflows: Design and implement improvements to development processes, focusing on integrations between GitHub (e-g , Actions, Pull Requests, Issues) and Jira (e-g , ticket workflows, automation) to reduce toil and accelerate delivery, Measure Productivity: Develop and maintain metrics (e-g , cycle time, throughput, PR review time, defect rates) to assess team productivity, using data from GitHub and Jira Create dashboards and reports to provide visibility to stakeholders, Tooling and Automation: Build and maintain custom scripts, bots, and integrations (e-g , GitHub APIs, Jira APIs) to automate repetitive tasks, enforce best practices, and improve team efficiency, Developer Feedback Loop: Collaborate with developers to identify pain points in their workflows, gather feedback, and implement solutions that enhance their day-to-day experience, Best Practices Advocacy: Promote engineering best practices, such as code review standards, branching strategies, and agile methodologies, to ensure consistency across teams, Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering managers, DevOps, and product teams to align developer experience initiatives with organizational goals, Continuous Improvement: Stay current with industry trends and emerging tools to recommend new approaches for measuring and improving developer productivity, Qualifications Experience: 15+ years of experience in software engineering, DevOps, or developer experience roles, Proven track record of improving developer productivity in environments using GitHub and Jira, Experience building or integrating tools with GitHub APIs (REST/GraphQL) and Jira APIs, Technical Skills: Proficiency in scripting languages (e-g , Python, JavaScript, PowerShell) for automation and data analysis, Strong understanding of GitHub workflows (Actions, Pull Requests, Issues) and Jira (ticket management, workflows, plugins), Familiarity with developer productivity metrics (e-g , DORA metrics, SPACE framework) and tools like LinearB, Waydev, or GitClear, Experience with data visualization tools (e-g , Tableau, Power BI) or custom dashboard solutions is a plus, Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders, Empathy for developers and a passion for reducing friction in their workflows, Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights, Education: Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience), Nice-to-Haves: Experience with NodeDot JS, JavaScript / Type Script, Postgress Experience with additional tools like Jenkins, Bitbucket, or Confluence, Knowledge of cloud platforms (e-g , AWS, Azure, GCP) and CI/CD pipelines, Internal Mobility at Korn Ferry If you currently work for Korn Ferry
