Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer – Government Infrastructure (Building Construction) Location: Raipur Chhattisgarh Experience Required: 10+ Years Industry: Construction / Infrastructure Employment Type: Full-time Reporting To: Project Manager / Technical Head ****Immediate Joiners are more Preferred**** Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and qualified Senior Electrical Engineer with more than 10 years of experience in electrical works for government infrastructure and building construction projects . The candidate should have strong expertise in planning, execution, quality control, and compliance for high- and low-voltage electrical systems in accordance with government standards and specifications. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage all electrical works at the site including installation, commissioning, and testing. Prepare BOQs, technical specifications, and tender documentation for electrical works. Supervise execution of electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, fire alarms, earthing, cabling, transformers, panels, DG sets, and UPS systems. Ensure that electrical installations comply with CPWD/State PWD/IS/IEC standards and safety codes. Coordinate with consultants, architects, and site teams for design approvals and execution alignment. Conduct technical reviews, inspections, and quality audits at site. Prepare and maintain project documentation including drawings, load calculations, inspection checklists, and reports. Liaise with government departments, DISCOMs, and electrical inspectors for necessary approvals and clearances. Plan and manage subcontractors and electrical labor workforce on site. Ensure adherence to project timelines, cost control, and material optimization. Identify technical issues and provide practical and timely resolutions. Prepare DPRs, MIS reports, and assist with billing and quantity verification. Candidate Requirements: B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering (Diploma holders with strong experience may also be considered). 10+ years of experience in electrical execution of building construction projects, preferably under government infrastructure projects . Strong understanding of SLDs, electrical layout drawings, and electrical compliance documentation. Proficiency in electrical design tools and AutoCAD. Excellent knowledge of relevant IS codes, NBC, and safety standards. Strong project coordination and reporting skills. Willingness to travel and work at project sites as required. Preferred Background: Experience working on CPWD, State PWD, PSU, or other government department projects. Familiarity with green building norms, energy efficiency compliance, and renewable energy systems (e.g., solar).
