EstimationRole Purpose The purpose of this role is to support the Vertical Lead in pre-bid quantity estimation. Responsible for the collation of data to ensure accurate quantity estimates and rates across the in-scope Projects, including coordinating with internal departments as and when required, and attending pre-bid meetings on a need basis. Support the Vertical Lead in quantity calculations, query submission and analyzing key areas of complexity by reading schedules, bid drawings, engaging with consultants and survey reports. Create the synopsis for the awarded projects by collating the estimations and keep a record of the cost of competitors in the bid, while ensuring the data bank is always updated. Complete the assigned activities in the bid analysis and costing process within the stipulated timeframe. Key Responsibilities Bid Analysis and Costing Ensure timely and accurate pre-bid quantity estimates, rates, and query submission under the guidance of the seniors. Provide support in reading technical schedules, drawings and survey reports to extract data for BOQ calculations. Maintain a record of all the bids that GRIL participates in along with maintaining the GRIL bid values along with the competitor bid values. Submit the learning synopsis for all awarded projects to the senior management. Analyze the bid documents for key complexity areas and their impact on the project value. Reporting Prepare accurate and timely reports for the management teams. Maintain all MIS and reporting systems with accurate reporting of data. Ensure timely submission of the synopsis in pre-bid and post-bid stages and escalate in case of any process delays and deviation from SOPs Indicative Time Split Project Analysis and Submission:70% Reporting: 20% Capability Building:10% Indicative Experience and Exposure Diploma in Civil Engineering with 3-5 years experience in Hydro or Tunnel Tendering or B.Tech / M.Tech in Civil Engineering with minimum 3 year experience in pre-bid quantity analysis, Cost Estimtion (Hydro OR Tunnel Experince) Key Interfaces Internal Bidding Team at CO and HO Teams of other functions including Design, Plant & Equipment, Procurement, HR, Quality, Planning, Contracts, Legal, etc. External Client(s) Consultants & Vendors Competencies Adaptability, Attention to Detail & Curiosity Effective Communication & Stakeholder Management Relevant Industry Experience & Self Starter Team Player Relevant Technical/Functional Knowledge
