Job Title : Senior Engineer QA (Automation & Performance) Location Bangalore Aptean is changing. The senior QA engineer will handle testing-related challenges of complex scope, applying standard concepts and principles. They will work as a key team member, operating independently while following broad guidance for planning and execution. They should be capable of addressing detailed queries and recommending process improvements. Additionally, they will mentor, guide, and support junior team members to accelerate their growth. Knowledge: Having wide-ranging experience, using professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways. Complexity: Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Networks with key contacts outside their own area of expertise. Supervision: Determines methods and procedures for new assignments. Creates and executes manual feature-level test designs and test cases for applications. Execution of automated performance and load tests. Participates in project test plan, test design, and test case reviews. Participates in product design reviews and product documentation reviews. Web UI, mobile, and device testing exposure. Has an understanding of customer scenarios. Can design negative path testing scenarios and contribute to ad hoc testing. Hands-on experience with automation tools like mabl, selenium, or similar tools. Capable of learning the product and becoming an expert in one or more modules of the primary product assigned. Ability to acquire a good understanding of core modules of the secondary product assigned. Good to have knowledge on the TMS domain. Education (Indicate the minimum level of education necessary for this position. (law) Certification: Registration: Licensure: Other: MCA ISEB/ISTQB/Other QA qualification/certification Work Experience (Indicate the approximate years of relevant work experience necessary for this position) Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 4 years and a Master’s degree, or a PhD with 2 years' experience, or equivalent experience. Typical range is 4–7 years. Knowledge SDLC, Test Design Techniques, Test Management, Estimation Testing, Test Case Documentation, Defect Logging, Defect Analysis, Project Management tools like TFS, MTM; Environmental Setup Configuration, Debugging, working knowledge in Programming/Scripting languages, Web Service API testing, XML/XSL, REST, SOAP, JSON, web methods, etc.; good knowledge of database concepts, Oracle/SQL Server installation/configuration/Admin and DBA, profiling tools; should have worked on any of reporting tools like SSAS, SSRS; awareness of data warehouse concepts, data mining, analytics is an advantage. Experiences of DevOps and CI/CD pipelines. Experience of testing On-Prem, SaaS, Web products, and mobile applications. Knowledge of mabl, selenium, SOAPUI, or POSTMAN.
