Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Hardware Engineer with a strong background in Switch Mode Power Supplies (SMPS), power electronics, and hardware systems . The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in AC-DC and DC-AC conversion , electromagnetic compatibility (EMC/EMS) , and electromagnetic pulse (EMP) protection . In this role, you will lead and mentor a hardware development team of 5 to 6 engineers, driving end-to-end design, testing, and optimization of power hardware systems. Key Responsibilities: Lead the design, development, and testing of AC to DC and DC to AC power conversion systems, including SMPS circuits . Ensure compliance with EMP, EMS , EMI/EMC standards and other regulatory requirements. Guide the team in component selection, PCB design, schematic development, and circuit simulation. Perform failure analysis, root cause investigation, and implement corrective actions in hardware designs. Collaborate cross-functionally with firmware, mechanical, and testing teams to deliver robust and reliable hardware solutions. Review and approve design documents, test plans, and verification reports. Conduct design reviews and provide technical mentorship to junior engineers. Drive innovation in power electronics architecture and design methodologies. Ensure project deadlines are met while maintaining high-quality standards . Required Skills : Proven experience with: SMPS design (flyback, buck, boost, etc.) AC-DC & DC-AC conversion topologies EMP and EMS mitigation techniques High-voltage and high-current hardware design Testing and validation against EMI/EMC standards Proficient in hardware design tools like Altium, OrCAD, LT spice, etc. Experience with lab instruments: oscilloscopes, power analyzers, EMI testers, etc. Strong problem-solving and debugging skills. Excellent communication and leadership abilities. Nice to Have: Experience in battery management systems (BMS) , inverters , or UPS systems . Familiarity with safety certifications (UL, CE, IEC). Knowledge of firmware interfaces and microcontroller integration.
