Job Description

Role & responsibilities Develop and implement purchasing strategies to ensure timely procurement of medical / non-medical supplies, equipment, and services. Monitor group formulary compliances Monitor purchases under GRC (group rate contract) and Non GRC Coordination with corporate team to ensure smooth supply from vendors Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with vendors to secure favourable terms and ensure compliance with hospital standards. Collaborate with medical and administrative teams to understand inventory needs and forecast future requirements. Maintain accurate records of all purchases, inventory levels, and supplier details to facilitate seamless audits and reporting. Negotiate contracts with suppliers to achieve cost savings while maintaining quality standards. Ensure timely delivery of ordered items and manage delays or discrepancies effectively. Monitor vendor lead time and order fill rate. Monitor stock levels, manage reorder points, and minimize the risk of stockouts or overstocking. Monitor and minimize local purchases Ensure compliance with hospital policies, DoA, healthcare regulations, and accreditation standards. Investigate and resolve issues related to defective or substandard products. Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, cost savings, and budget performance. Team management Preferred candidate profile Bachelor's degree with minimum 5-6 years of experience in same field Proven experience in healthcare procurement or hospital supply chain management. Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Excellent data analytical abilities. Ability to manage budgets, control costs, and identify savings opportunities.
