Job Description Position: Merchandiser (Apparel) Experience: 5-6 years of relevant experience, someone passionate about Apparel Merchandising preferrable Wovens. Location : Bangalore Company Preference: Preferably from an agency/ liaison office / Buying House Product Category: Apparel Wovens products (Jackets, Vest, Shirts, tops, Pants etc.) Roles and Responsibilities Coordinate and monitor orders with vendors, customers, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction. Manage and maintain all merchandising-related documentation. Coordinate and facilitate the submission of all type of samples to customers for approval. Support the Product Development process to ensure products align with customers' quality standards and budget expectations. Maintain strong business relationships with vendors for product development and production. price negotiations and timeline management, while preparing cost sheets and time and action (T&A) plans and supplier sourcing to meet requirements while optimizing cost-effectiveness Collaborate with the Design Team in product development, providing insights on materials and production feasibility and prepare the BOM. Keep the Design Team informed about market trends and developments. Oversee product development and order management, ensuring timely follow-ups on production and delivery schedules. Analyze customer needs and requirements, offering sourcing solutions to drive business growth. Execute additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management regarding Merchandising. Desired Candidate Profile Graduation in Merchandising or a related field from a reputed fashion/Textile college. Possess strong product and material knowledge, excellent development skills, and a thorough understanding of the merchandising and product development process. Ability to work under pressure with a results-driven mindset, strong communication skills, self-motivation, responsiveness, and attention to detail. Proficient in written and spoken English. Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, with Adobe Illustrator knowledge being a plus. Skilled in building strong collaborations with cross-functional teams and effectively communicating with internal and external partners. Frequent travel to various cities may be needed for factory and mill visits. A well-organized individual with the ability to handle multiple tasks, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to meeting deadlines effectively.
