Role & responsibilities We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced candidate who will bring extensive experience in managing safety activities, particularly in the Chemical Sector , with a proven track record in risk assessment , incident management , and the successful implementation of safety programs. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations, minimizing risks, and promoting a culture of safety throughout our operations. Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and hazard analyses such as HAZOP for the chemical processes. Ensure that all risks associated with the handling of hazardous chemicals are identified, evaluated, and mitigated, maintaining a safe working environment . Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions. Document incidents thoroughly, ensuring compliance with PESO, DISH and other regulatory bodies. Ensure compliance with local, federal, and international health and safety regulations, including DISH , PESO , ISO , NEBOSH , OSHA , and IMS . Maintain an up-to-date understanding of changing safety regulations and standards. Ensure all necessary permits and licenses are obtained and maintained, particularly those from PESO (for handling hazardous chemicals). Perform regular safety audits and inspections to ensure that the highest safety standards are consistently adhered to. Ensure compliance with DISH , PESO , and other applicable licensing requirements. Address non-compliance issues and drive continuous improvement. Identify opportunities for continuous safety improvement and implement proactive safety initiatives. Preferred candidate profile Bachelors degree in Occupational Health , Safety Management , Environmental Science , Engineering , or a related field. Minimum 18-20 years of progressive experience as a safety leader in the chemical , pharmaceuticals , petrochemical , or fertilizer industries. Demonstrated expertise in managing safety operations and implementing safety systems in high-risk chemical environments. In-depth knowledge of safety practices in the chemical sector, DISH & PESO compliance , safety audits , performance evaluations, permits & licenses procedures , and incident investigation .
