Post : Sr. Engineer - New Product development. Min Experience 7 to 10 years must in Precision Parts Engineering & Development Aerospace Organization. Technical Qualification – B.E/ B.Tech Mechanical/ Production Location – Bangalore & Ahmedabad General Overview of the Position: A Process Engineer is a link between R&D, Planning & Production to deliver a new development to planning and production by optimizing the process of Manufacturing (Cutting, Milling, Turning, Grinding, Heat Treatment, etc.). Cost of Manufacturing and deliver the same to production. Desired Technical Subject matter expertise: In-depth design / Basic Engineering / Detailed Engineering knowledge of manufacturing parts & Alternative components etc. Selection of machines to carry out manufacturing process. Cycle Time Estimation & Reduction time in process of manufacturing. Drawing Reading and Finalize the RM, Operations, Tools & Fixture. Basic CAD/CAM and Fixture Design. Hands on Experience of Solid CAM (Multi-axis). Basic (Manual) Programming CNC Turning & Milling (Fanuc & Siemens) including Tool parameters. Handling of Cutting Tools & Measuring Quality Tools. Inspection & Test procedure evaluation & implementation. Outsource component/parts from local vendors, which cannot be produce in-house. Desired Commercial subject matter expertise: Optimum Engineering & Process Design to manufacturer the parts as per clients specification with Best Lead Time possible and with minimal cost. Desired Soft/Other Skills: Eye for detail. Ability to understand lengthy customer technical specification which are part of the contract and ensuring compliance to the same while process design engineering. Ability to challenge status quo with innovative out of the box ideas. Standardization wherever possible for future repeatability . Basic machining skill in manual machine like Turning, Milling, Grinding & Drilling. Control on rejection. Process Control and audit (production must run as per defined process). Tool Inventory & Tools life data and control.
