About the role As a Senior UI/UX Designer, you will be responsible for owning and driving the product design strategy. You will play a key role in enhancing user experience, driving product usability, and setting design standards (design system) across the platform. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create intuitive, accessible, and scalable solutions that drive business impact.This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes initiative, and enjoys mentoring and scaling design processes. What You ll Do Design Leadership: Drive the end-to-end product design process and influence design thinking across the company. Design Systems: Build, document, and scale design systems to ensure consistency and efficiency across the product. User-Centric Approach: Conduct user research, interviews, usability tests, and synthesize insights to inform product decisions. Strategic Ownership: Define the design vision and roadmap in alignment with product goals. Data-Driven Design: Leverage analytics, heatmaps, and A/B tests to refine and optimize experiences. High-Quality Deliverables: Design and deliver wireframes, user flows, prototypes,and UI across web and mobile platforms. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, engineers, growth, and customer experience teams to deliver a seamless product experience. Product Discovery: Partner with product and engineering in discovery sprints to validate user needs before development. Mentorship: Guide junior designers, review work, and raise the overall design quality bar. DesignOps Efficiency: Introduce and streamline design processes (e.g., design reviews, file management, documentation). What Success Looks Like Impact on core product metrics (e.g., activation, adoption, engagement, retention) Time-to-delivery for high-quality design output Cross-functional feedback and stakeholder alignment Consistency and adoption of design systems across the product Innovation and design-led experimentation Mentorship and skill uplift within the design team You ll Excel If You Have 5+ years of experience designing and expanding SaaS products or complex web and mobile applications Proven track record of leading high-impact design projects independently Deep understanding of user-centered design methodologies and principles Mastery of tools like Figma and modern prototyping, research, and testing tools Strong portfolio showcasing design systems, interaction design, and UX problem-solving Ability to drive consensus and inspire cross-functional teams through design storytelling Ability to balance speed, quality, and user empathy in a fast-paced environment Experience in B2B SaaS or email/marketing automation products Familiarity with tools like Hotjar, Mixpanel, Posthog (to help with Conversion Rate Optimization - Completing onboarding, Making a purchase, etc.) Familiarity with tools like After Effects (motion design is a bonus) Why Join Smartlead.ai?
