Job Description

Role & responsibilities Develop and maintain detailed project Level 6 (L6) schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project, covering all project phases from Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) through detailed engineering, construction, Commissioning and close-out. Collaborate closely with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to identify project requirements, constraints, and deadlines to develop realistic project plans. Utilize strong knowledge of engineering and construction sequences to create accurate and logical project schedules. Monitor project progress and provide detailed weekly and monthly reports to the Project Manager and stakeholders. Track schedule performance, including variances, critical path analysis, and resource utilization. Support earned value management (EVM) and prepare variance analysis reports. Facilitate schedule updates and changes in collaboration with project teams. Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and Site Teams to ensure project plans are well-coordinated and executed. Serve as the primary point of contact for scheduling-related queries and issues. Conduct regular schedule reviews with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment. Leverage strong engineering and site experience to develop realistic schedules that reflect project complexities and constraints. Incorporate site-specific activities, including safety, permitting, and logistics, into project schedules. Integrate multiple project schedules into a master schedule to provide a comprehensive view of resources, timelines, and dependencies. Provide expert advice on scheduling strategies and best practices to optimize project execution and delivery. Support the project team with ad-hoc scheduling and planning needs, ensuring the application of industry best practices in schedule management. Preferred candidate profile FORMAL EDUCATION: Bachelors degree in engineering, Construction, project management, or a related field. Professional certification in project management or planning (e.g., PMP, PMI-SP) is highly desirable. KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE: A minimum of 8-12 years of experience in scheduling and planning within the water / process or oil & gas industries. Strong background in the Water or EPCM industry, with a proven track record of supporting engineering and project teams in a fast-paced environment. Experience in large-scale projects involving both EPCM and site activities. Strong knowledge of project management principles, including critical path method (CPM), earned value management (EVM), and resource allocation. Familiarity with engineering and construction workflows in water treatment and oil & gas sectors. Expertise in using project management software, specifically MS Project and Primavera, for complex project scheduling. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels. Excellent Communication skills.
