Key Responsibilities Test Planning and Strategy Develop detailed test plans, test cases, and scripts based on functional and technical specifications. Collaborate with product managers and developers to understand requirements and define testing scope. Manual Testing Conduct functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing to identify defects and ensure application quality. Validate user interfaces, workflows, and usability across different browsers and devices. Automation Testing Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, Pytest, or Cypress. Automate API testing using Postman, REST Assured, or similar tools. Performance and Load Testing Conduct performance testing to ensure scalability and reliability under various loads. Use tools like JMeter or Locust to simulate real-world usage scenarios. Bug Tracking and Reporting Identify, document, and track bugs using tools such as Jira, Bugzilla, or Azure DevOps. Work closely with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently. Database Validation Validate data integrity, perform backend testing, and verify complex queries in databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB. CI/CD and Deployment Testing Test features deployed via CI/CD pipelines, ensuring correctness in different environments (staging, production). Collaborate with DevOps teams to validate deployment workflows. Documentation and Reporting Maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and defect reports. Provide detailed test coverage and defect analysis reports to stakeholders. Required Skills and Qualifications Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 4+ years of experience in software testing, including manual and automation testing. Proficiency in testing frameworks and tools such as Selenium, Pytest, Cypress, or equivalent. Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and experience in API testing using tools like Postman or REST Assured. Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Locust). Hands-on experience with SQL for database validation and backend testing. Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
