SENIOR QUANTITY SURVEYOR/MANAGING QUANTITY SURVEYOR/ASSOCIATE (MRICS) - KERALA, INDIA INTRODUCTION: UN!Q Project Solutions, a 10-year-old business' with circa 115+ staff across the KSA, UAE, and India is looking to strengthen its existing Cost Management team with a Team Leader for delivery of Pre-Contract services across a large portfolio of Mixed-use/Hospitality/Residential/Retail projects in the Middle East and Asia. This exciting opportunity for a talented MRICS-qualified Quantity Surveying professional able to both lead a team and provide added value to our partners' projects, portfolios and programmes. Reporting to the Associate Director - Cost Management, the selected candidate will be expected to lead and ensure delivery of best-in-class service solutions to our existing partners across predominately the Hospitality, Residential, Leisure and Entertainment sectors, for some of the region's biggest developers on some of the worlds most iconic projects. Whereby the chosen candidate(s) will be responsible for managing large Cost Management (Pre-Contract) remit from our Kerala office, they must have demonstratable previous experience of successful cost consultancy delivery of major Middle East and Asia projects, as these individuals will be responsible for providing best-in-class service solutions to our valued partners, thereby maintaining UN!Qs growing reputation in the market. Additionally, as MRICS members the chosen candidate(s) will also be expected to mentor, train and develop our talented Quantity Surveyors working towards their RICS APC, working with our Associate Director - Cost Management, to ensure the highest professional standards are maintained across the entire business. While these opportunities are open to all MRICS candidates in India, with the competitive international salary offered this could suit candidates from the UK, Ireland, Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia or New Zealand, with Team Leader ability, looking for their first overseas posting. RESPONSIBILITIES (As applicable to the specific role): Manage and/or be part of a team of up to 15+ Cost Managers/Quantity Surveyors on day-to-day basis Attend all progress and relevant stakeholder meetings making commercial representation Be proficient in RICS Rules of Measurement, Quantification, Cost Planning and Estimating, and Pricing Schedule (Bills of Quantities) preparation including GFA, NIA, POMI, NRM 1 and 2, CESSM CostX champion and preferred BIM experience Tendering and Procurement strategy and implementation for Provisional Sums and Prime Costs items Ensure Cost Reports are a true reflection of the commercial status of the project, forecasting cost at completion based upon design status Change Management control through the design phase to determine the validity of design variations against our Service Agreement and determine and advise of any financial impact Manage significant Provisional Sum packages including any tendering and re-measurements Provide commercial updates consistently to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress and ensure continuous engagement and communication until satisfactory project completion Manage contracts with suppliers and determine best-value solutions Utilise industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout the entire project execution in line with local authority requirements Monitor progress and ensure compliance with agreed programme and budgets Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement Manage risk register and mitigate potential events Chair commercial meetings and ensure reports are true and accurate reflection of project status QUALIFICATIONS: MRICS Quantity Surveying professional accreditation mandatory Bachelor's or Masters degree in Quantity Surveying 7+ years of Quantity Surveying/Cost Management and related experience for Tier 1 Cost Consultants Must have previously managed commercial delivery of significant Pre-Contract services Proven ability to solve problems creatively Strong familiarity with Cost Management software tools (CostX), FIDIC Suite of Contracts, methodologies, and best industry practices Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle of cradle-to-grave Excellent analytical skills Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline BENEFITS: Competitive international salary (INR 550,000 - 1,100,000 dependent on ability) 24 days Annual Leave + Public Holidays Medical Insurances Professional subscription Defined career path and leadership mentoring Show more Show less
