Insightsoftware is looking for a Senior backend software engineer to translate application storyboards and use-cases into functional applications. The ideal candidate should have a knack for writing clean, readable code. This critical role would require the ability to gather accurate requirements and work closely with stakeholders to prioritize tasks and the scope of development. Our Engineering team Our engineers participate in all phases of the application development lifecycle, focusing on design, coding and keeping the production platform up and running. Our technical stack is Java with Spring Boot and Hibernate frameworks, SQL, ORM, JPA, Vue.js, Javascript, SCSS, Amazon Web Services, Maven This is What You Will do in This Role: Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Java code Work in alignment with the organization goals to ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications Ccontribute in all phases of the development lifecycle Identify the bottlenecks, bugs in the applications and devise solutions to these problems Maintain code quality and improve automations Develop SQL for application Write automated unit, functional and integration tests as needed Participate in code reviews with the team Perform various Proofs-of-concept depending on the business needs Assist with production support and release Who we are looking for : Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or related field. Proficiency in Java, with a good knowledge of its ecosystems and object-oriented programming 5+ years of experience in Java development, with a focus on Spring Boot. Strong knowledge of microservices architecture and RESTful APIs. Have a profound insight of Java and JEE internals (Classloading, Memory Management, Transaction management etc.) Aware of various design and architectural patterns Can write unit tests Hands-on experience with databases (SQL). Proficiency in tools like Git, Maven, and CI/CD pipelines. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to lead technical discussions. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
