Senior Software Tester (Manual + Automation)

Job Description

About the Role We are seeking an experienced Software Tester with 3+ years in both manual and automation testing . The ideal candidate will ensure high-quality software delivery through strong testing strategies and collaboration. Key Responsibilities 1. Manual Testing Design and execute test cases, scenarios, and scripts based on requirements Conduct functional, integration, regression, UAT, and exploratory testing Perform API testing using Postman, REST Assured, etc. Execute cross-browser/platform testing and database validation Test mobile apps across devices and OS 2. Automation Testing Build and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, JUnit, Cypress, or Playwright Implement Page Object Model and other design patterns Create and run regression, smoke, and sanity test suites Integrate test automation with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions Automate API testing using REST Assured, Postman, etc. 3. Test Planning & Strategy Participate in requirement analysis, effort estimation, and test scope definition Develop test plans, strategies, and documentation Identify test scenarios, create matrices, and plan risk mitigation 4. Defect Management Log and track bugs using Jira, Azure DevOps, Bugzilla, etc. Perform root cause analysis and defect triaging Ensure timely defect resolution and closure 5. Collaboration & Communication Work closely with developers, PMs, BAs, and DevOps Join daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives Report testing status and mentor junior team members 6. Quality Assurance Adhere to quality standards and testing best practices Conduct reviews and ensure test coverage Keep up with latest tools and trends Required Qualifications Bachelor’s in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field 3+ years of experience in software testing Technical Skills 1. Manual Testing: SDLC/STLC knowledge, API testing (Postman, REST Assured), database testing (SQL), cross-browser/platform testing, mobile app testing 2. Automation Testing: Selenium WebDriver (Java/Python/C#), TestNG, JUnit, CI/CD (Jenkins, GitHub Actions), POM, Cypress, Playwright Tools & Technologies: Bug tracking: Jira, Azure DevOps, Bugzilla Test management: TestRail, Zephyr Performance tools: JMeter, LoadRunner (basic) Databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle Preferred Qualifications ISTQB or similar certification Performance, security, or accessibility testing Agile/Scrum methodology Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), Docker BDD tools (Cucumber, SpecFlow) Programming knowledge (Java, Python, JavaScript, C#) Location : Delhi , Saket Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year Location Type: In-person Schedule: Day shift Work Location: In person
