Company: Guy Carpenter Description: We are seeking a talented individual to join our Business Management team at Guy Carpenter. This role will be based in Mumbai. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office. Senior Specialist - Business Management We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Power BI Specialist to join our team as a key member of the Management Information department As a Power BI Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Power BI to support data-driven decision-making and provide valuable insights to stakeholders. Additionally, proficiency in Excel, SQL and Access database, VBA development, Power Apps, and Power Automate will be essential for this role. We will count on you to: Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their reporting and analytics requirements and translate them into effective Power BI solutions. Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Power BI to provide actionable insights and support data-driven decision-making. Utilize Excel, SQL, and Access database skills to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into Power BI for analysis and visualization. Develop VBA macros and automation solutions to enhance data processing and reporting capabilities. Leverage Power Apps and Power Automate to create custom applications and automate workflows for data collection, analysis, and reporting. Create and optimize data models, data connections, and data transformations to ensure accurate and efficient data analysis. Perform data analysis and data profiling using SQL to identify data quality issues and recommend solutions for data cleansing and data governance. Collaborate with data engineers and data architects to ensure the availability, reliability, and security of data sources and data pipelines. Stay up to date with the latest Power BI features, Excel functions, SQL queries, and industry trends to continuously improve the reporting and analytics capabilities. What you need to have: Overall 7+ years of work experience This role requires proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SQL, and Power BI Skills such as data modeling, statistical analysis, data mining, and data visualization Collaborative (good at working in a team) Effective communicator Attention to detail Analytical ability and Decision making Influencing and Negotiation skills What makes you stand out: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills and ability to work with large quantities of data Good communication, collaboration and people skills Strong ability to plan and manage numerous processes, people and priorities simultaneously Experience in statutory audits and dealing with auditors.
