Job Description We are seeking a highly experienced Senior SQL Administrator who will play a key role in the management and optimization of our SQL databases, ensuring their high availability, security, and performance. Skill / Qualifications Bachelor Degree in a related field. 10+ years of experience as a SQL Administrator, with extensive expertise in SQL Server. Strong knowledge of database performance tuning, backup and recovery, replication, and clustering. Proven experience implementing and managing high availability and disaster recovery solutions. In-depth understanding of database security best practices and data protection mechanisms. Solid experience with database monitoring tools and SQL diagnostic techniques. Expertise in SQL scripting, automation, and troubleshooting. Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure) is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Job Responsibilities Manage, maintain, and support SQL Server databases across production, staging, and development environments. Lead and oversee database projects, ensuring successful implementation and performance optimization. Perform installation, configuration, and ongoing management of SQL Server instances. Monitor and tune SQL Server database performance to ensure efficiency and scalability. Implement and maintain high availability solutions, including Always on Availability Groups, database mirroring, and clustering. Ensure database security best practices are followed, including user access management, encryption, and backup/recovery protocols. Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues and incidents in a timely manner. Work closely with development teams to optimize database queries and schema designs. Create and maintain detailed documentation of database systems, configurations, and procedures. Provide expert-level support for critical database systems, ensuring minimal downtime and continuous availability.
