Hi, Greetings from CES LTD: Website Link : https://www.cesltd.com Headquarted AT : Chicago ( Illinois ) Certified AS : CMMI Level 5 Organisation Key Responsibilities: Administer, monitor, and maintain SQL Server environments across development, staging, and production systems. Lead migration projects from older SQL Server versions (e.g., SQL Server 2008, 2012) to modern versions (e.g., SQL Server 2019/2022 or Azure SQL). Perform schema and data migrations, ensuring integrity and minimal downtime. Tune SQL queries, indexes, and database configurations to improve performance and scalability. Develop and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies. Collaborate with application developers, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to support business-critical databases. Create and maintain documentation for database environments, procedures, and configurations. Participate in audits and enforce data compliance and security standards. Required Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fieldor equivalent experience. 5+ years of experience working with Microsoft SQL Server (2012 through 2022). Proven experience migrating SQL Server databases from legacy versions to newer platforms. Strong skills in T-SQL scripting, stored procedures, and SQL Server Agent jobs. Experience with SQL Server Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO). Familiarity with SQL Server High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) technologies (e.g., AlwaysOn, clustering, replication). Understanding of security best practices (encryption, roles, access control). Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Azure SQL and cloud-based database services. Familiarity with tools such as SSIS, SSRS, or Power BI. Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate or MCSA: SQL Server. Exposure to automation tools or scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
