Job Description

Role & responsibilities Design, configure, and implement complex systems and infrastructure solutions to meet business requirements. Assess existing systems and make recommendations for enhancements or upgrades to improve performance and efficiency. Lead system integration projects, ensuring compatibility and seamless integration with existing infrastructure. Oversee and maintain network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and connectivity. Configure and manage firewalls, routers, switches, and other network components for secure and efficient data flow. Monitor system health, performance, and capacity, proactively resolving issues to minimize downtime. Implement and enforce security policies, including data protection, access controls, and vulnerability management. Perform regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and risk management to safeguard IT infrastructure. Stay up-to-date with industry security standards and compliance requirements, ensuring adherence across all systems. Provide advanced troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network-related issues, offering guidance to junior team members. Act as a point of escalation for complex technical issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution. Collaborate with IT support teams to diagnose and resolve end-user issues, offering solutions and implementing preventive measures. Implement monitoring tools and frameworks to track system performance, uptime, and error logs. Analyze performance data to identify bottlenecks, optimize resource allocation, and maintain high system availability. Conduct regular system performance tuning and optimization to ensure maximum efficiency. Develop, implement, and regularly test backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity and business continuity. Maintain backup schedules and manage storage solutions, including on-premises and cloud-based solutions. Respond to disaster recovery scenarios, coordinating efforts to restore systems and minimize impact on business operations. Create and maintain automation scripts to streamline routine tasks, increase efficiency, and reduce manual effort. Implement infrastructure-as-code practices to automate deployment and scaling of systems. Utilize scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash) to build automation solutions for system management. Lead and manage IT infrastructure projects, from initial planning through execution, ensuring timely completion. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align project goals with business objectives. Prepare and present project status reports, documentation, and post-implementation evaluations to management. Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, network diagrams, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Create and update knowledge base articles to assist in troubleshooting and system maintenance. Train and mentor junior team members, providing technical guidance and knowledge-sharing to build team capabilities. Ensure compliance with DynaTech IT&IS policies and cybersecurity regulations across departments. Allocate resources for cybersecurity initiatives and support Cyber Security programs. Review Information Security risks, incident response, and coordinate with stakeholders. Establish and approve DynaTech IT&IS policies aligned with organizational strategy. Approve access based on job roles to ensure minimum necessary access. Qualification: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, IT infrastructure, or a related role. Professional certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), CompTIA Security+) are a plus. Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux), virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure). Key Competencies/Skills: Strong expertise in server management, network configuration, storage systems, virtualization, and cloud technologies. Proficient in diagnosing and resolving complex system issues with a methodical approach. Experience with automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) to improve system efficiencies. Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and experience in implementing and maintaining secure systems. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects effectively to meet deadlines. Strong communication skills to convey technical information clearly to team members and stakeholders. Ability to adapt to changing technology trends and learn new skills quickly.
