Job Description

Automate and define processes for provisioning, configuring, and decommissioning infrastructure using IaC tools. Introduce alternate VPN solutions, network access control, etc., to improve and maintain cloud networking infrastructure. Architecture and introduction of tools to automate patching and alert management for cloud and remote infrastructure. Work closely with the DevOps team to assist with migrating, upgrading, monitoring or troubleshooting infrastructure requirements. Design and document high availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies, stimulating failover scenarios to optimise recovery processes. Optimise infrastructure monitoring for improved observability. Define and implement infrastructure security best practices to maintain compliance standards. Consult with senior stakeholders to offer suggestions and technical solutions. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies. Participate in knowledge-sharing sessions and contribute to a culture of continuous learning. Required Skills: Hands-on experience with most well-known IaC tools. Understanding of Git, CI/CD, and infrastructure management. Strong knowledge and experience in managing firewall rules, security groups, and encryption strategies of cloud networks and working with alternative VPN solutions. Solid understanding of IAM policies, role-based access control (RBAC), and least privilege access models. Ability to document infrastructure design and work with custom automation scripts and security policies. Strong ability to explain technical concepts to stakeholders across the wider business. Desired Skills: Certification preferred in AWS Solution Architect and/or RHEL. Ability to evaluate and implement new tools to enhance infrastructure performance security. Strong analytical skills to interpret cost data, identify trends, etc.
