About the Role: A Senior Technical Architect is a highly experienced technical leader who provides guidance, direction, and mentorship across multiple projects and teams. They operate at a Director, VP, or SVP level, offering both architectural expertise and detailed technical leadership. This role also involves nurturing a continuous delivery culture. Responsibilities: Technical Leadership: Providing technical guidance and direction to teams, ensuring quality and adherence to standards. Cross-functional Collaboration: Working closely with various teams, including systems architects, verification/validation, and other key leaders. Problem Solving and Innovation: Identifying and solving complex technical challenges, driving innovation and best practices. Project Management: Managing and overseeing projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality are met. Training and Mentoring: Providing training and mentorship to junior engineers and designers. Strategic Planning: Collaborating with management to create strategic roadmaps and prioritize objectives. Communication and Collaboration: Effectively communicating technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences. Risk Management: Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and managing risk throughout the product development lifecycle. Continuous Improvement: Focusing on improving processes and enhancing product performance. Qualifications: Experience: 12+ years of professional software development experience. Technical Expertise: Proficiency in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms, and various programming languages (e.g., Java, JavaScript, Python). Leadership & Mentoring: Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and guide a team of engineers, fostering a high-performing and collaborative environment. Strategic Thinking: Experience owning tech strategy, end-to-end delivery, and partnering with senior leadership to align technical goals with business objectives. Communication & Collaboration: Strong communication skills (written and verbal), the ability to effectively collaborate across teams, and a passion for continuous improvement. Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills: Ability to solve complex technical problems and provide analytical insights to inform decision-making. Required Skills: Object-Oriented Design & Data Structures: Deep understanding of these concepts and how they apply to software development. Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC): Experience with various SDLC methodologies and the ability to apply them effectively. Cloud Technologies: Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes. Database Management: Experience with relational and non-relational databases. Test-Driven Development: Proficiency in writing and using automated tests. API Design: Experience designing and implementing APIs. Leadership & Team Management: Ability to lead and mentor teams, delegate tasks, and foster a positive work environment.
