Role & responsibilities A monthly preventive maintenance (PM) schedule must be prepared and issued to both IMD (Injection Moulding Department) and TRD (Tool room Division) for the following machines and accessories: Injection Moulding Machines (IMM), VMC Milling Machines, Wire Cutting Machines (Wire EDM), EDM Machines, Grinding Machines, Cranes, Chillers, Colling Towers, MTC, Stackers. Robots. Preventive maintenance must be carried out regularly and without fail according to the scheduled plan for all listed machines and accessories in both IMD and TRD departments. After the completion of each preventive maintenance task, the following documentation must be completed: i) Daily Log: Record details of the maintenance performed on each machine. ii) History Card: Update the history cards for machines, detailing the maintenance performed and any issues encountered. Ensure that required spare parts are arranged before the scheduled preventive maintenance to avoid delays in the process. During the yearly PM, specific tasks must be included: i) Oil Testing: Test and change oils as required. ii) Barrel Condition Check: Inspect and assess the condition of the barrels in injection moulding machines. iii) CMK Study: Conduct a study to ensure the process capability meets required standards. iv) Platen Parallelism Check: Ensure platen parallelism is within specifications. Provide support during major breakdowns that occur outside of scheduled preventive maintenance. Technicians must be on duty to assist in addressing unexpected issues that may arise.
