About the Role We are looking for a results-oriented SEO Specialist to oversee on-page and off-page optimization for our company website and editorial content. The role involves managing search visibility, improving content indexing, and ensuring alignment between technical SEO and editorial publishing goals. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive keyword research aligned with content and editorial calendars. Optimize website structure, internal linking, and metadata for improved indexing and user experience. Collaborate with writers and editors to ensure content meets SEO standards without compromising readability. Monitor search performance metrics (organic traffic, CTR, rankings) and flag issues or opportunities. Manage technical SEO audits and coordinate fixes with the development team (e.g., crawl errors, sitemap issues). Build and manage backlinks ethically through relevant directory submissions, guest posting, and media collaborations. Keep updated on algorithm changes, search engine guidelines, and ranking factors. Maintain and analyze SEO reports to track effectiveness and justify ongoing strategy. Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelors degree in any field. 2-4 years of hands-on experience in SEO (preferably for a content-driven or media organization). Proficient with tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs, or Screaming Frog. Strong understanding of keyword intent, content optimization, and indexing behavior. Familiarity with basic HTML/CSS, canonical tags, robots.txt, and sitemap structures. Excellent analytical and communication skills. Work Culture & Expectations SEO must supportnot dictatethe content voice and publishing ethics. Regular collaboration with writers, designers, and developers is expected. Reports must be clear, actionable, and based on datanot fluff. Discipline in execution and respect for editorial integrity are essential.
