Role SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and proactive Solar O&M Engineer to join our team for our hybrid project in Pachora, Agar, Madhya Pradesh. The ideal candidate will be an Electrical Engineer with 5-8 years of experience in Solar power plant operations, maintenance activities and analytics. This role will be responsible for supporting the Site O&M Manager, co-ordinate with project Contractors for supervising and managing site operations, and maintenance and ensuring that Solar farm performance aligns with O&M contractual requirements while maintaining high standards of WHSE and adhering to company policies and procedures. How You Will Make an ImpactTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. During Project Operations: The Solar O&M Engineer’s job is mainly to support the Solar O&M Manager to plan, schedule and ensure execution of daily, weekly and monthly maintenance activities to ensure smooth operations of a Solar power plant.Takes responsibility for monitoring the performance of the Solar power plant on a day-to-day basis including Availability checks & confirmation to the O&M Contractor. Support Hybrid Site O&M Manager for smooth HOTO and closure of punch points. Identifies problems and develops corrective action, plans Scheduling and execution of preventive and predictive maintenance.Provide timely written review reports from field operation, status, and constructive feedback as requested.Respond to emergency call-outs & ensure that all O&M activities are performed at project sites as per O&M Plan and standards. Ensure O&M Contractors record and report all faults, deficiencies, and other unusual occurrences, as well as the time and materials expended on work ordersResponsible for ensuring all required repairs, maintenance, and monitoring of all warranty claims by O&M Contractor(s).Knowledge of safety regulations, compliance standards, and best practices in the Solar industry.Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, troubleshooting, and repair techniques.Commissioning Support:Assist with pre-commissioning and commissioning activities, including performing tasks, supervising activities, and ensuring safety standards are followed.Support the operation and testing of SCADA and related systems before commissioning activities.Assist with planning and coordinating pre-commissioning and commissioning processes, ensuring adherence to HSE, quality, cost, and time requirements.Conduct pre-commissioning checks, grid synchronization, commissioning activities, and related tests, including PR tests.Support Project HOTO (handover & takeover) and ensure closure of punch points. What Makes You a Great FitKey Qualifications:Diploma/B. Tech in Electrical Engineering is required.Minimum of 5-8 years of hands-on on 100+ MW projects of Solar O&M, including pre-commissioning and commissioning.Strong knowledge of electrical systems, Solar PV systems, Inverters, transformers, and switchgear including 220kV substations.Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults effectively.Familiarity with safety standards, preventive maintenance, and system monitoring tools.Preferred Skills:Experience in O&M roles within the Solar power sector.Ability to work independently and manage multiple sites.Strong communication skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
