The candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge and expertise in various facets of publishing processes, particularly in content creation, management, and analysis. The primary responsibilities will revolve around utilizing their expertise to ensure the quality and integrity of published materials. Key Responsibilities Microsoft Word Proficiency : Demonstrate advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, including but not limited to formatting, editing, and document management functionalities. Microsoft Excel : Proficiently handle data analysis and management tasks using Microsoft Excel, including organizing, analysing, and presenting data effectively. XML with DTDs Analysis : Expertise in analysing XML documents with Document Type Definitions (DTDs), ensuring compliance with established standards and specifications. XML Parsing and Validation : Proficient in parsing and validating XML documents to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to predefined structures. Requirement Analysis : Conduct thorough analysis of project requirements, including content specifications, objectives, and constraints, to effectively plan and execute publishing tasks. Pre-editing : Perform pre-editing tasks to assess and improve the quality of content before the final publishing stage, including proofreading, formatting, and ensuring adherence to style guidelines. Required Skills and Qualifications Bachelors degree in any field. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and XML technologies. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of accuracy and quality. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines without compromising quality. Familiarity with publishing industry standards, practices, and emerging trends. Experience with content management systems (CMS) and publishing tools/software is a plus.
