About Role - We are seeking a highly skilled and culturally astute Listening & Monitoring Analyst to join our team This role requires a deep understanding of U S media and cultural nuances, as well as the ability to interpret and analyze media content beyond surface-level summaries The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in media Responsibilities This is an exciting role and would entail you to Dashboard Setup and Customization Understand team/client needs and requirements Create interactive dashboards within Talkwalker Use existing templates and apply minor customizations to develop dashboards within Talkwalker (agency listening platform) Review dashboards with account teams and optimize based on feedback Ongoing Monitoring Align with client/agency needs and monitoring protocols Monitor social/traditional media platforms and online sources to track discussions, trends, and relevant mentions related to our clients and industry Create weekly coverage/conversation emails (or at other frequencies dictated by protocol), distilling relevant insights and flagging any issues Analyze social and traditional media to extract critical insights, understand sentiment, and identify emerging themes/trends related to brand, competition, and broader industry Ad Hoc Listening Projects Understand client/team needs and requirements Recommend and refine search queries in alignment with the assignment Perform, analyze, and interpret queries in one or more agency listening platforms Produce custom reports that clearly align with the research objective, address key hypotheses, and tell the story of findings Offer timely ad-hoc analysis and insights on current events or topics pertinent to our clients You will be working closely with Global clients and account managers of our Market Research team Collaborate proactively across teams and with clients to ensure alignment and deliverables Qualifications This may be the right role for you if you have Bachelor s Degree in Data Science, Marketing Analytics, or a related field 3+ years of experience in Social Listening, with at least 1-2 years in marketing or public relations Proficiency in social media analytics platforms Strong interpretation skills, especially related to US culture and zeitgeist Ability to identify landscape (social, media, competitor, etc), audience, themes, and sentiment of the US market Experience in identifying Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and influencers in relevant industries Experience working with U S clients and on US -focused projects Proficiency in brand and industry keywords (technical and jargon) and expertise in Boolean query building and management Expertise in data management and analysis using MS Excel Proficiency in listening platforms such as Talkwalker (preferred), Brandwatch, and Muckrack Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail Ability to work collaboratively across teams and with clients Proficiency in data/sentiment analysis tools, including Excel and PowerPoint Ability to visualize data and insights in a client-ready report Experience with MySQL, Python, and Power BI Strong organizational and multitasking skills Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights Confidence in building and maintaining team relationships A collaborative, proactive approach to problem-solving and project management General understanding of the PR/Communications industry
