Role & responsibilities Job Title: Software Development Engineer Location: Chennai (Hybrid) Experience: 4+ Years Job Description: We are seeking a talented and experienced Software Development Engineer to join our team for a full-time position based in Chennai. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining scalable web applications and RESTful services. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to the design and implementation of modern software solutions. Key Responsibilities: Design, Develop, and Maintain Web-Based Applications : Utilize the .NET framework to build robust and scalable applications. Build and Consume RESTful APIs : Develop APIs to support application functionality, ensuring high-performance communication between services. Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams : Work closely with various teams to define, design, and ship new features in a collaborative, agile environment. Utilize Modern DevOps Tools : Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, GIT, and SQL Server for continuous integration and deployment. Write Optimized SQL Queries : Design and implement efficient SQL queries, stored procedures, and other database enhancements. Participate in Code Reviews : Engage in peer code reviews to ensure high-quality code standards and maintainability. Unit Testing and Documentation : Write unit tests to ensure the reliability of software and maintain clear, concise documentation. Troubleshoot and Resolve Application Issues : Identify and resolve technical issues and bugs in a timely and efficient manner. Required Skills & Qualifications (Must-Have): Strong hands-on experience in developing and maintaining web applications using the .NET framework . Proficiency in Azure DevOps, GIT, and SQL Server for version control, automation, and database management. Expert in SQL : Ability to write complex and optimized queries, design stored procedures, and perform query enhancements. Solid understanding of RESTful API design and development. Experience in collaborative environments with cross-functional teams. Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills for application-related issues. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work within a diverse team. Nice to Have (Additional Skills/Certifications): Certification in Cloud Platforms : Any certification in Azure , AWS , or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is an added advantage. Familiarity with Agile methodologies is a plus. Experience in automated testing (Unit Testing, Integration Testing) is desirable.
