They analyze site conditions, create detailed layouts, select appropriate materials and components, and ensure compliance with regulations. This involves technical expertise, creativity, and a deep understanding of photovoltaic technology to optimize efficiency and performance. Key Responsibilities:System Design: Developing detailed designs for solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, including component selection, sizing, and configuration. Site Assessment: Conducting site surveys for capacity analysis, shadow analysis, and plant designing. Layout and Drawings: Preparing PV layouts, single-line diagrams (SLD), Bill of Materials (BOM), 3D project modeling, and structure fabrication drawings. Electrical Design: Leading project calculations, component sizing, and overall electrical design for solar PV systems. Cable Sizing and Earthing: Performing AC and DC cable sizing and earthing calculations. Compliance and Regulations: Ensuring compliance with government regulations and industry standards. Project Management: Managing projects from conceptualization to installation, ensuring client needs and efficiency goals are met. Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Maintaining and troubleshooting existing solar systems. Continuous Improvement: Staying updated with industry trends and emerging solar technologies. Skills and Qualifications:Technical Knowledge:Strong understanding of solar energy, photovoltaic technology, and related electrical and mechanical principles. Analytical Skills:Ability to analyze site conditions, assess solar potential, and optimize system design. Software Proficiency:Expertise in advanced computer design software, including CAD software for electrical and mechanical design.
