We are looking for a highly resourceful, enthusiastic, and detail-oriented individual to join our Finance team based out of the firm’s office in Hyderabad, India. This group is responsible for legal entity bookkeeping, financial reporting, and statutory compliance for the D. E. Shaw group’s Indian entities. WHAT YOU'LL DO DAY-TO-DAY: In this role, you will be responsible for setting up vendors in Workday accounting and payment platforms, processing supplier invoices on DESRI’s Workday system, and executing pay runs. Your key tasks will include scrutinizing invoices, resolving queries, and addressing vendor payment-related issues. As the primary point of contact for employee claims, you will provide real-time status updates and process these claims. Additionally, you will prepare and publish Bank Reconciliation Statements, process foreign payments, and maintain month-end accruals. You will also identify and pursue opportunities to improve the efficiency, timeliness, and control of DESRI’s accounts payable activities. You will set up vendors in Workday accounting and payment platforms, process supplier invoices and execute pay runs, address vendor payment-related queries, provide real-time status updates on employee claims, prepare and publish Bank Reconciliation Statements, and process foreign payments and maintain month-end accruals. Finally, you will improve the efficiency, timeliness, and control of accounts payable activities.
