Role Overview We are looking for a qualified and compassionate Speech Therapist / Speech-Language Pathologist to join our growing multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience working with children and adolescents who may have speech delays, articulation disorders, language impairments, stammering/stuttering, or neurodevelopmental challenges such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or ADHD. As a part of the SoulSurfer ecosystem, the speech therapist will play a key role in enabling children to develop essential communication, comprehension, and expressive language skills through tailored intervention. Key Responsibilities Assessment & Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments. Identify and diagnose a variety of speech, language, and fluency disorders. Prepare individualized treatment plans based on assessment outcomes. Therapy & Intervention: Deliver evidence-based, child-centred therapy sessions focused on articulation, phonology, receptive/expressive language, stammering, etc. Use creative tools, play-based techniques, and technology to engage children in the therapy process. Modify and adapt interventions as per child’s developmental progress. Parent & Family Involvement: Involve parents and caregivers actively in the therapy process. Educate and guide families with home strategies to reinforce speech-language development. Provide regular updates and progress reports to parents in an empathetic, clear manner. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with occupational therapists, counsellors, psychologists, and educators for an integrated care approach. Participate in case discussions and interdisciplinary planning for clients requiring multi-modal support. Contribute to program development, workshops, and awareness initiatives. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate therapy notes, progress tracking, and review reports. Ensure ethical and confidential handling of all client data and therapy outcomes. Ideal Candidate Profile Education & Certification: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (BASLP/MASLP) from a recognized Indian university. Registration with the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) is preferred. Experience: 1–4 years of relevant clinical or school-based experience in speech therapy, especially with children and adolescents. Exposure to working with children having ASD, ADHD, Down Syndrome, speech delays, or language-based learning disabilities. Skills & Competencies: Strong command over both English and Hindi for bilingual therapy delivery. Empathetic, creative, and engaging approach to child therapy. Good documentation and communication skills for parent collaboration. Tech Fluency: Comfortable with virtual therapy sessions and online therapy platforms. Familiar with digital tools and resources for speech-language stimulation.
