Job Description

Role Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain complex SQL queries to extract and manipulate data.Create and manage stored procedures, functions, and triggers to automate processes.Conduct performance tuning and optimization of SQL queries to enhance system efficiency.Collaborate with application developers to understand data requirements and deliver effective solutions.Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for database structures and procedures.Perform data modeling to support business needs and ensure data integrity.Design and implement ETL processes to integrate data from various sources.Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.Work with the QA team to validate data accuracy and integrity during system upgrades.Participate in project planning sessions to understand and deliver on technical requirements.Ensure adherence to database security standards and best practices.Assist in the creation of ad-hoc reports in response to stakeholder requests.Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies related to SQL development.Train junior developers on SQL best practices and programming standards.Provide technical support to end-users and resolve any database-related issues. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Minimum 5 years of experience in SQL development and database management.Proficiency in SQl Server, MySQL or Oracle databases.Experience with data modeling tools and methodologies.Strong understanding of database architecture and design principles.Hands-on experience with performance tuning and query optimization.Knowledge of ETL tools and processes.Ability to write clear and concise technical documentation.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Experience in working with Agile methodologies.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Familiarity with cloud databases is a plus.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Willingness to learn new technologies as required.Certifications in relevant technologies are advantageous.
