Job Description

Role & responsibilities Sr. ASM / Asst. RSM Preferred candidate profile Experience Edible oil and Food Industries 1. Sales Target Achievement Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets (SKU-wise and pack-wise). Drive both primary and secondary sales across the assigned territory. Ensure growth in volume and value compared to last year (YoY growth). 2. Distribution & Channel Management Appointment and development of distributors in underpenetrated markets. Improve distributor ROI and ensure regular claim settlements. Monitor distributor stock levels, order planning, and timely product replenishment. 3. Market Coverage & Penetration Ensure regular market visits as per beat plans / PJP (Permanent Journey Plan). Increase numeric and weighted distribution. Identify and activate new retail outlets to expand coverage. 4. Team Management & Development Guide and supervise TSI/SO (Territory Sales In-charge / Sales Officers/ASE/ASM) Conduct regular training and motivation sessions. Monitor daily working, productivity, and joint working with the team. 5. Marketing & Promotional Execution Ensure proper implementation of trade schemes and consumer promotions. Coordinate for in-store promotions, product sampling, and local campaigns. Monitor effectiveness of promotions and suggest improvements. 6. Retail Visibility & Merchandising Implement visibility initiatives (planograms, POSM deployment, shelf branding). Ensure brand presence at key retail points. Track and report competitor visibility activities. 7. Reporting & Business Intelligence Submit Daily Sales Reports (DSR), market insights, and competition analysis. Ensure accurate and timely data reporting through CRM/SFA tools. Review sales trends, prepare action plans, and share feedback with leadership. 8. Customer & Trade Relationship Management Build strong relationships with key retailers, wholesalers, and distributors. Handle trade grievances and resolve disputes promptly. Drive loyalty and trust through regular engagement and service. 9. Knowledge of Bargainings (Sauda) process, 10 years Experience as similar role.
