Job Description

ROLE SUMMARY This role is responsible for leveraging and analyzing data, creating reporting tools, communicating learnings, and making data-based recommendations to drive product sales growth, improved customer relationships, and efficiency in the organizations processes. Data resources include syndicated POS, consumer panel, market intelligence, and internal ERP data. Functions this role interacts with include Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, IT, and Executive. RESPONSIBILITIES Lead analytics for a U.S. based retail tea category with support from the Manager of Sales Insights & Analytics for the Tea category. Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Brand to develop seasonal and regional strategy to maximize sales and category impact. Uncover insights, trends, shopper behaviors and competitive activity to guide tactics and strategy. Identify customer-specific insights to drive growth and strengthen partnership with our customers. Own the update and distribution of monthly category reporting and dashboards. Build comprehensive presentations with strong data visualization. Share insights, findings, and recommendations internally and externally in buyer meetings. QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE Education: Bachelors Degree Required, MBA Preferred Work Experience: 3+ years of experience in category management, sales analytics, or a related field within the CPG industry Experience with Circana(IRI), Nielsen, and/or SPINS reporting platforms required Experience with market intelligence providers Kantar and Mintel is preferred but not required Experience with Walmart Luminate/Scintilla is preferred but not required Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint Prior experience working Remote is preferred but not required Willingness to support team that largely works in the Eastern Time Zone PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets and derive actionable insights Strong presentation skills with the ability to communicate data findings to both entry-level team members as well as executives. Strategic thinker with the ability to connect insights to business strategy and decision-making. Collaborative team player with strong leadership skills and the ability to influence cross-functional teams. Growth mindset with an excitement to learn (and teach). Self-starter who takes initiative and speaks their mind. LOCATION & TRAVEL This is a position supporting a team and business that is largely located on the U.S. East Coast Possibility of travel to the United States 1x per year
