Vidiem is seeking a Data Scientist/Analyst who will play a critical role in data collection, cleaning, visualization, and analysis across various departments including Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing, Purchase, Quality, and Finance. The primary focus of this role is to support the Sales organization by providing key business insights, reports, and dashboards that will drive sales growth and business expansion. The candidate must be highly skilled in Tableau & Power BI for data visualization, analytics, and dashboard creation. Additionally, they should have experience working with ERP systems as they will need to integrate reports into Vidiems in-house ERP system. Key Responsibilities (KRAs): 1. Data Collection & Integration Gather and consolidate data from multiple sources, including ERP, CRM, sales platforms, service, marketing analytics tools, and financial reports. Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability for decision-making. Develop automated data pipelines for real-time reporting. 2. Data Analysis & Business Insights Analyse sales trends, customer buying behaviour, product performance, and market opportunities to support the Sales team. Identify key revenue-driving patterns and provide actionable insights to sales leadership. Support demand forecasting and inventory planning through data-driven analysis. 3. Sales Dashboard Development & Visualization Build interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau & Power BI to track: Sales performance (Actual vs. Target) Regional & Category-wise sales trends Customer segmentation & behaviour analysis Market share & competitor benchmarking Optimize dashboards for usability, self-service analytics, and automation. 4. ERP System Integration & Reporting Work with IT teams to integrate sales reports into Vidiems in-house ERP system. Ensure seamless data exchange between business intelligence tools and ERP platforms. Improve existing ERP reporting functionalities for better visibility and control. 5. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Strategic Decision-Making Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing, Purchase, Finance, and Quality teams to address data needs. Provide regular insights & reports to sales managers, helping them optimize sales strategies and resource allocation. Assist leadership with data-driven business expansion strategies in domestic & export markets. 6. Process Optimization & Automation Automate repetitive data analysis and reporting processes for efficiency. Implement data validation & cleansing strategies for better data integrity. Recommend improvements to existing BI tools, dashboards, and data workflows. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): 1. Sales & Business Intelligence Impact Accuracy & Timeliness of Reports: % of reports delivered without errors & within deadlines. Sales Target Achievement Analysis: Ability to provide insights that improve sales performance. Effectiveness of Dashboards: % of sales team actively using dashboards for decision-making. 2. Data Collection & Integration Data Accuracy & Consistency Score: % of discrepancies found in reports. Efficiency in ERP Integration: Time taken to integrate reports into ERP system. Automation Effectiveness: Reduction in manual reporting efforts due to automation. 3. Dashboard Performance & Usability User Adoption Rate: % of sales & leadership teams using dashboards. Dashboard Load Time & Performance: Optimization of visualization tools for speed & efficiency. Self-Service Analytics Enablement: Ability to empower teams to generate reports independently. 4. Cross-Functional Collaboration Stakeholder Satisfaction Score: Feedback from sales & leadership teams on the usefulness of insights. Proactiveness in Insight Generation: Number of actionable recommendations provided per quarter. Candidate Profile & Required Skills: 1. Education & Experience Bachelors/Masters degree in Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field. 3-5 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or sales analytics. Prior experience working with consumer durables, FMCG, retail, or manufacturing industries is preferred. 2. Technical Skills BI & Visualization Tools: Strong expertise in Tableau & Power BI (DAX calculations, dashboard creation, advanced visualizations). Data Processing: Proficiency in SQL, Excel (Advanced), Python/R (Preferred, but not mandatory). ERP System Experience: Prior experience working with ERP platforms and integrating reports. Automation & Data Pipelines: Knowledge of ETL processes, APIs, and automation tools for data handling. 3. Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills Strong analytical mindset with a data-driven approach to problem-solving. Ability to translate complex data into clear business recommendations. Proactive approach to identifying revenue-generating opportunities. 4. Soft Skills & Business Acumen Strong communication skills to convey insights to non-technical stakeholders.
