Recommend targets to improve value such as high revenue, spending reduction, purchasing efficiency, customer services, and supplier management Analyze sourcing trends and make recommendations for assigned categories Participate in supplier segmentation and strategic goal-setting Cost Management & Analysis Identify and evaluate category-specific savings/revenue levers Drive category savings/revenue and scorecard metric targets Provide market intelligence and category price trends to relevant internal partners Leverage should-cost models for assigned categories that are benchmarked and relevant to the global marketplace Negotiation Lead or participate in negotiations for contract extensions and renewals, renegotiation of prices, transfers, etc. Lead sourcing events/RFQ process into bundled negotiations Incorporate savings targets and contract requirements into negotiations Develop a contract strategy for suppliers in assigned categories and build, negotiate, monitor, and enforce contracted terms and conditions Experience in negotiating contracts and terms for software and professional services preferred. Business Partnering Collaborate with Team members and suppliers to deliver strategic solutions Develop and maintain expertise in the assigned spend categories through relationships with key partners Drive a customer-centric approach to solving issues and representing Procurement Serve as a consultant and trusted partner for procurement process and supplier issues. Supplier Performance Management Lead overall Strategic Supplier relationships within the assigned categories Collaborate internally to drive key performance measures/metrics for Strategic Suppliers and supervise supplier performance against these expectations to ensure continuous supplier improvement Lead strategic supplier engagement events, such as Annual Supplier Evaluations
