Job Description Purpose of the role This role will be responsible for design, installation support, configuration and monitoring of new and existing electronic security systems (card access, CCTV, intrusion/burglar/fire alarm, other security equipment etc.) across all regions. This role requires experience in managing security systems and effective project management skills. This role will also manage relationships between internal clients such as Projects, IT, Admin, various business groups and external vendors. Areas of Responsibility Act as the technical liaison for all regions Support regional security resources on technical matters to ensure they are enabled to carry out their areas of responsibility efficiently and effectively. Ensure that the delivery of GSOC’s program is supported through technical excellence and contribute to the delivery of an effective, efficient and responsive operations function. Plan, manage and implement the technical and build requirements of the VAC security system, liaising with the regional security team, vendors, and others as necessary. Provide subsequent monitoring and management support for security equipment at VACs / Offices etc Contribute to the planning, development, control, testing and maintenance of systems and equipment. Support regions on equipment maintenance, using external contractors when necessary, ensuring compliance with service level agreements. Ensure identification of gaps in the existing security infrastructure and provide recommendations for improved performance and monitoring. Identify latest Security Equipment as per contemporary technology, conduct vendor identification & periodic evaluation coupled with subsequent rate negotiations for implementation. Ensure security equipment expenditure is rationalized to meet mission compliance requirements & optimal utilisation of resources, thus ensuring cost effectiveness Implement system integration for an Enterprise Level Platform on a WAN / LAN Work in conjunction with IT to deliver an effective IT support function for security equipment across regions. Provide on call emergency support, as necessary. Carry out Technical Audits and equipment risk identification and assessments. Competency in technical report writing. Produce standard technical documents and process notes for training and development Identify and standardize product portfolio across regions for monitoring ease, technical support and mission compliance configurations. Prepare Scope Documents / RFPs for innovative suggestions and invite vendor quotes for techno-commercial evaluations. Support the regions in conduct of regular vendor audits by generating various checklists and ensure communication of necessary measures to the team. Develop and maintain an effective working relationship with regions and vendors to solve equipment related issues both proactively and reactively Operate in accordance with the organization’s employment, Health and Safety, equal opportunities and other legal requirements, organizational practices, policies, and procedures. Prepare optimized annual budgets and ability to deliver work within budget and agreed targets Carry out any other duties commensurate with the job role. Experience: 10 -15 years of relevant experience in Integrated Security Management. Sound knowledge of IT and Networking domains. Knowledge And Key Skills Strong knowledge of concepts and design of electronic security systems Demonstrated ability of successful global security project implementation in the past Must possess strong interpersonal communication (verbal & written) skills and ability to effectively present information to support regional security teams Strong working knowledge of computer-based databases and word processing programs and concepts Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, highly demanding work environment with out of the box thinking and quick problem-solving abilities Ability to multitask and operate effectively on various projects simultaneously Ability to provide clear directions, technical guidance, set work priorities and mentor the team Perform other related tasks/special assignments as directed Show more Show less
