Senior Planning Engineer - Civil Engineering Experience - Must Have Min (7 Years) Location: Kolkata , Sec V. Company: Team Taurus Job Type: Full-Time Job Description: We are seeking a Senior Civil Planning Engineer with extensive experience in project planning, scheduling, and civil engineering to join our dynamic team. With MEP knowledge will be a plus. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, exceptional organizational skills, and proven experience managing complex infrastructure and construction projects. Key Responsibilities: Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project execution plans including Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), key milestones, and task dependencies. Collaborate with technical and management teams to define project scopes and objectives. Scheduling and Resource Allocation: Create and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent tools. Optimize resource allocation and conduct critical path analysis to ensure timely project delivery. Budget Management: Provide accurate cost estimates and forecasts. Monitor project expenditures, flag variances, and ensure budgetary compliance. Progress Monitoring: Track actual progress against the plan, identify bottlenecks, and propose corrective actions. Prepare recovery schedules as needed to maintain project timelines. Risk Management: Identify project risks and constraints; develop and implement effective mitigation strategies. Regularly update and monitor the project risk register. Communication and Coordination: Liaise with project stakeholders, including consultants, contractors, and clients, to ensure alignment. Participate in coordination meetings and provide schedule and progress updates. Documentation and Reporting: Prepare project documentation including technical reports, look-ahead schedules, S-curves, and progress dashboards. Support senior management in strategic planning and decision-making. Qualifications and Skills: Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred). Experience: Minimum of 8 years in project planning and control in the civil/construction industry. Technical Proficiency: Expert in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project. Knowledge of CAD/BIM tools is a plus. Project Management: Understanding of CPM, EVM, and other planning methodologies. Core Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
