Sr. Project Engineer– CAE (Crash Analysis using Ansys, LS Dyna)

Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Project Engineer CAE with 4 to 7 years of specialized experience in crash analysis. This critical role is central to our commitment to product safety and performance. The successful candidate will possess strong proficiency in industry-leading CAE software, specifically Ansys and LS-Dyna, for conducting advanced explicit dynamic simulations. Your primary responsibility will involve setting up complex crashworthiness models, including detailed meshing, material property definition, boundary conditions, and contact definitions. You will perform various types of crash simulations, such as frontal impact, side impact, rear impact, and pedestrian protection, to evaluate the structural integrity and energy absorption capabilities of components and full systems. Beyond running simulations, a key aspect of this role is the ability to thoroughly analyze simulation results, interpret complex stress, strain, and deformation patterns, and identify critical failure modes. You will be expected to provide data-driven recommendations for design improvements to enhance crashworthiness and occupant safety. This position requires a deep understanding of impact mechanics, material behavior under high strain rates, and relevant safety regulations. You will collaborate closely with design engineers to integrate CAE insights into the design loop, ensuring that design modifications effectively address performance targets. Furthermore, preparing comprehensive technical reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to project teams and management will be a crucial duty.
