Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced QA Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in both manual and automated testing. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining the quality of our software applications by finding and reporting bugs and glitches. Key Responsibilities: 1. Manual Testing: Develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases. Prioritize and plan testing activities. Play the role of test executioner and validate the quality of the products ready to ship during every release. 2. Automation: Design, develop, and execute automation scripts using Selenium with Java. Utilize Appium for mobile application testing. Identify areas of improvement and present solutions to automate repetitive tasks. 3. API Testing Automation: Validate and verify API responses, status codes, and data payloads. Create automated tests for APIs using tools and scripting. 4. Performance Testing: Utilize Jmeter to create scripts to validate system performance and scalability. Analyse test results and work with developers to address performance issues. 5. Database Testing: Validate stored procedures, data transformations, and other database processes. Collaborate closely with developers to ensure consistent database outputs. 6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (developers, product managers, etc.) to ensure smooth product development and releases. 7. Report defects and issues in a clear, comprehensive, and timely manner. 8. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in the QA field. Qualifications: 6+ years of proven work experience in software quality assurance. Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes. Proven experience with Selenium, Appium, Jmeter, and other testing tools. Proficiency in Java. Experience with API testing tools. Experience in database testing, SQL queries. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Detail-oriented mindset. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Preferred (but not mandatory): Certifications like ISTQB, CSTE, or any relevant QA certifications. Experience in an Agile/Scrum development process.
