Job responsibilities: As a Senior Software Engineer at Shipmentia, you would have a goal of building a large scale data processing and analytics system that provides our customers with monitoring, analysis and predictions platform. Review and analyse complex, large-scale technology solutions for large scale enterprise platform development. Collaborate with the engineering and product teams, contribute to the definition of specifications for features, and own the development of those features. Define and implement web services and the application backend micro-services. Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills: 4+ years of a successful history in software engineering positions. Proficiency with Node.js, React.js Proficiency in Mongodb, Postgres and SQL Server. Experience with big data streaming platforms such as AWS Kinesis or Apache Kafka, Experience with multi-tier web application development, Git version-control and collaboration Experience/Knowledge in Azure cloud Deployments. Hands-on experience in jenkins, dockers etc REST WebServices (GraphQL experience is a plus). A strong desire to learn, teach, and collaborate with the team. Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills: Experience using Docker and/or Kubernetes to build containerized applications, Experience with Elasticsearch or other distributed search and analytics engines is a plus. Experience working with Data Scientists to bring business insights to the product, Deep understanding of SQL Server, including database design, T-SQL, stored procedures, indexing, and query optimisation techniques.
