Our clients are a leading Pharmaceutical API Manufacturing organization based in Hyderabad. They have ambitious growth plans and multilocational, profitable, and growing operations. Our clients seek an accomplished Pharma API Manufacturing Operations Leader to take ownership of the P&L and Operations of all the plants Pan-India, including Production, QC, projects, safety, regulatory, and supply chain. Must have strong strategic & operational experience. The position is based in Hyderabad. Will be expected to drive initiatives to transform the plant into a "Future-Ready" and Modern Business setup. Ideal candidates must demonstrate high initiative, ownership, and integrity and possess a strong entrepreneurial drive and vision. Job Role The incumbent will oversee all aspects of the manufacturing processes for the API production units and ensure the highest standards of quality, efficiency, cost leadership and compliance at all the manufacturing facilities. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, exceptional leadership skills, and a strong commitment to operational excellence. Job Description 1. Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategic plans for manufacturing operations to align with company goals and objectives. 2. Operational Management: This position oversees daily manufacturing operations, ensuring efficient production processes, optimal resource use, and schedule adherence. 3. Quality Compliance: Ensure all manufacturing activities comply with regulatory requirements and quality standards (cGMP, FDA, etc.). 4 . Budget Management: Develop and manage budgets for manufacturing operations, ensuring cost-effective production and resource allocation. 5. Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of manufacturing, operations, EHS, warehouse and engineering professionals. 6 . Centre Of Excellence and Continuous Process Improvement: Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency, productivity, and quality. 7. Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements. 8. Safe and sustainable Operations: DJQi, EHS, Safety, Standards, Renewable energy 9. Collaboration: Work closely with R&D, supply chain, quality assurance, finance and other departments to ensure seamless operations and product delivery. 10. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate manufacturing processes and operations risks. 11. Audit Management: Oversee the completion of any regulatory or customer audits. Candidate Profile 1.B.Tech degree in Chemical Engineering with 20 -25 years of experience managing single large or multiple API facilities, with at least 10 years in a leadership role.2. Proven experience driving manufacturing excellence, cost leadership and quality initiatives with knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean methodologies.3. Knowledge and experience of Peptides fermentation is highly desirable4. Strong liaison skills with PCB, Director of Factories, Drug Control Authorities, etc5 . Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and quality standards (cGMP, FDA, MHRA, TGA, WHO- Geneva, etc) with experience of having completed multiple agency audits.6. Experience in scale-up and tech transfer, managing pilot plants during tenure.7 .
